Canadian Blood Bank Brampton, ON, Canada
Description
Hodess delivered this 5,000 SF blood bank facility in Brampton, Ontario under a design-build model, providing validated space for the processing and packaging of blood plasma for the pharmaceutical industry. The scope included the design and engineering of a fully validated cold-chain environment, comprising seven validated coolers maintained at 2°C–8°C and six validated freezers maintained at -40°C, along with four ante-rooms supporting controlled access and gowning between adjacent spaces.
Hodess coordinated the validation requirements across all temperature-controlled rooms, ensuring each space met the precise environmental and monitoring standards required for blood plasma handling. Throughout the project, Hodess managed the construction sequencing and quality protocols necessary for a pharmaceutical-grade facility, coordinating all testing, validation, and certification activities through final turnover.
