Description
Hodess delivered this lithium-ion battery manufacturing project under a design-build model, constructing 55,000 SF of ISO Class 6 cleanroom space and 4,000 SF of ISO Class 5 cleanroom space, all designed to maintain a -40°C dew point for critical dry room operations.
The cleanroom scope included insulated tongue-and-groove perimeter panel systems for humidity control, conductive epoxy flooring, and a 2-inch nominal Power-T ceiling grid with 4×4 fan filter units, aluminum blank tiles, and T-5 2×4 light fixtures to meet ISO Class 5, 6, and 7 requirements. Hodess selected and installed desiccant dehumidifiers, makeup air units, sensible cooling coils, HVAC piping, ductwork, controls, and electrical systems to maintain precise environmental conditions. Dedicated house vacuum systems were provided for each room, and Hodess managed all cleanroom protocol and cleaning through project turnover.
