Description
Hodess delivered this 1,000 SF ISO Class 6 R&D cleanroom/dryroom under a design-build model, engineered to maintain a -40°C dew point within an existing concrete frame building. The scope included insulated camlock tongue-and-groove perimeter panels to maintain room integrity, conductive epoxy flooring, and a 2-inch nominal cleanroom wall panel and ceiling grid with 2×4 fan filter units, aluminum blank tiles, and T-5 2×4 light fixtures. Hodess also selected and installed desiccant dehumidifiers, makeup air units, HVAC piping, ductwork, controls, and electrical systems to achieve precise environmental performance.
Due to site constraints, the desiccant unit was installed outdoors in a limited area, with cooling provided by remote condenser units mounted separately outside, and exhaust systems routed up the building exterior from the first-floor dryroom to the fourth-floor roof.
