Description

Hodess delivered this 6,000 SF microelectronics facility under a design-build model, constructing ISO Class 5, 6, and 7 cleanroom environments within an existing building. The project began with demolition of existing floors and walls, including select asbestos abatement, followed by fireproofing of existing steel and installation of new cleanroom HVAC, electrical, process piping, process exhaust, cleanroom walls, flooring, ceilings, and HEPA filtration systems.

New infrastructure systems included make-up air for humidification and reheat, acid and solvent exhaust, process cooling water, nitrogen, compressed air, house and process vacuum, process drains, waste treatment systems, and DI water distribution. Hodess constructed a rooftop penthouse to house the make-up air and humidification systems, routed new exhaust through the third and fourth floors to the roof without disrupting ongoing building operations, replaced existing systems to eliminate cross-contamination risks, and assisted with tool move-in and installation.
